Course Information
The years between 7 to 14 are pivotal for children as they go through dramatic developmental and social changes. Their experiences in school and other activities play a vital role in establishing their identities and character. As such, your guidance as a professional in student care is of crucial importance in optimizing this important time in their lives.
Learning Outcomes
Create challenging and developmentally appropriate environments to support the development of students aged 7-14 years. You’ll also be trained to identify responsibilities under the Workplace Safety and health Act (ESS Workplace Skills Series: Workplace Safety and Health, Element 8.1.1) and assist with infection control and infection prevention, respond to signs of illness and accidents, and respond to incidents and emergencies. This course is specially designed for professionals working within student-care centres.
Participants must have access to a student service centre for children aged 7-14 years old to complete the course’s assignments.

Certification
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass assessments.
A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).
