Course Information

Participants will be able to learn the usage and application of motion control systems in the maritime industry.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of motion control systems in factory automation;

    • _x000D_

  • Select, commission and maintain a multi-axis motion control system;

    • _x000D_

  • Gain practical insight in developing, integrating and operating unmanned systems;

    • _x000D_

  • Describe both wired and wireless communication technologies based on network standards and models; and

    • _x000D_

  • Appreciate the various image processing techniques used in the industry.

A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass assessments.

Entry Requirements

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

  • Minimum 3 relevant GCE ‘O’ Levels passes in Mathematics, English & Science, OR

    • _x000D_

  • NITEC or Higher NITEC, OR

    • _x000D_

  • 2 or 3 years relevant working experience

    • _x000D_
