Provides knowledge and skills in solving dc network by using Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Law and Thevenin Theorem.

Provides knowledge and skills to understand the principles and operations of ac systems and devices in the industry.

Basic Electronics & Applications
Covers the basics of electronic devices and some common applications. Equips participant with the ability to analyze and calculate the electrical parameters of diode and transistor circuits.

Module
Digital Electronics & Applications
This is a hands-on intensive module enables participant to design and build application projects based on digital electronics. It covers the fundamentals of digital electronics, the basic principles and techniques of digital system design. Topics covered include Combinational logic circuits, Flip-flops and multivibrators, IC Counters, and Data handling devices.

Microcontroller & Interfacing
Introduces the fundamentals of microcontroller architecture as well as basic programming to interface with various external input and output devices.

Programming
Provides knowledge and skills in computer programming using a suitable high-level language. Topics covered include programming concepts and constructs such as sequences and repetition.

Network Fundamentals
Introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks. Enables participants to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes.

Routing & Switching
Equips participants with the ability to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues in networks in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

Scaling & Connecting Networks
Provides knowledge and skills needed to implement a WLAN in a small-to-medium network, configure PPPoE, GRE, single-homed eBGP, extended IPv4 and IPv6 ACLs., SNMP and Cisco SPAN, QoS and the trends in networking including Cloud, virtualization, and SDN.

Prepares participant to apply quality system management techniques and principles in their future workplace. Topics include Quality Systems and Audits, quality tools and techniques to optimize and improve products and processes.

Servers & Cloud Fundamentals
Covers the basics of Linux operating system, server, overview of cloud computing, simple architecture, design, implementation, management and security of cloud services.

Practical Electronics with Application to Control Systems
A highly practical oriented module devoted to hands-on activities. It covers the analysis, design and assembly of an electronic feedback control system. Enables participant to apply control theory in the real world.

Provides knowledge of the operating principles, the design characteristics and applications of commonly used analogue devices and circuits.

Control System Formulation & Analysis
Introduces fundamentals of feedback control principles and basic concepts of automatic control, control systems hardware, simple analytical tools and stability analysis of systems.

Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
