From the fundamentals of operations and logistics to in-depth materials knowledge, this course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to plan and manage the movement of the flow of goods and services. You will learn about material planning, purchasing, distribution, transportation logistics and management._x000D_

Lesson Plan
Comprehend importance of warehousing and storage management in the logistic industry. Acquire skills and techniques of materials handlings and inventory planning and control.
Learn materials planning & control to make effective contribution in managing resources and material flow in an organization.
Study Maritime Logistics role and its effect on the industry. Understand foundation in global logistics operations to tackle the complex and intense global market.
Be able to define cold chain logistics, project & events logistics and chemical logistics. Understand how to manage and handle different types of goods.
Build written and oral communication skills in order to prepare and deliver effective business presentations. Understand how human resource management skills are developed to attract and retain optimum number and quality of employees in an organisation.
Certificate in Business Management and Certificate in Business Applications are electives. Learner choose 1 out of the 2 electives.
Study fundamentals of cost & managerial accounting and their application in manufacturing & service industries. Develop skills to improve business processes using information technology (IT) systems and tools.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)_x000D_
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

This course is eligible for SkillsFuture Credit. All Singaporeans aged 25 years and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay f​or a wide range of courses.
