This is a basic/intermediate course for learners to pursue an entry-level career in marketing, business development & analysis within the wholesale trade sector.
Online media consumption has seen tremendous growth and demand across digital devices. Build essential digital skills that are applicable readily across workplaces.
In addition, the bridging course provides foundational skills in literacy, numeracy and digital literacy to navigate the demands of this course and the future workplace.

The bridging course is meant for individuals who are unable to meet the entry requirements of the core course. Individuals will be required to complete the 3-month bridging course and attain the relevant level of numeracy and literacy before proceeding to read the core course._x000D_

This module introduces students to basic elements and principles of design. Students will practice visual communication and self-branding through aesthetic use of line, shape, form, color, texture, typography, scale, contrast, rhythm and balance. Students will be trained in the usage of digital design tools and application of modern industrial practices to communicate the concepts, designs and solutions.
This module focuses on the core fundamentals of creating modern-day, accessible websites. Students will learn the fundamentals of web design production and author cross-platform websites for multi- devices based on sound design principles. Students will also be guided through the latest design trends and apply modern web layout principles in their development work.
This module aims to equip students with skills and techniques to fulfil the various stages of the UX design process, leading to optimum user-centric digital products. Exposure to various problem statements will aid students in developing critical, analytical perspectives for framing their approaches in problem-solving. Other major topics includes: Research methods, Interaction Design, Rapid Prototyping, Measuring User Experience and Usability Testing. Students are also guided on how to compile a proper UX portfolio.
This module introduces students to key concepts in social media, digital marketing & search engine optimisation. Knowledge on various social media tools which serves to increase brand presence & effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns will be covered. Students will learn how to create a social media plan with branding principles customised to organisational needs.
Certification
Certificate will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass assessments.

OR have been assessed and attained proficiency level 6 of the Workplace Literacy (WPL) and Workplace Numeracy (WPN) series. To assess your level of proficiency, you should take a pre-training test with British Council here. If the level of proficiency is at one level below level 6, you will be required to complete our 3-month bridging course. Upon attainment of level 6, we will proceed to enroll you into the core course._x000D_

Applicants should have basic digital literacy and be willing to acquire new technical skills._x000D_

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel and Powerpoint._x000D_

Students enrolled into the course are expected to bring along their personal laptop with the Windows 10 operating system installed.

Trainees must fulfil minimum attendance requirements and pass assessments to qualify for course fee subsidies. Trainees who are unable to meet these requirements may be asked to return the course fee subsidies that they have received.
