A Primer for Healthcare Trainers: Learning how to design an effective training program

Course Information

Healthcare-related training can be dry and content heavy. Such training is often instructor-centric and learners are required to adopt a passive learning approach. Trainers may also face challenges in engaging their learners to effectively achieve the learning objectives. This train-the-trainer course is designed for healthcare professionals, such as pharmacy managers and Pharmacy Training (PT) supervisors, who are responsible for training in a healthcare or retail setting. Course participants will develop new skills to engage their learners and increase learners’ participation. Course participants will also learn principles of blended, online and micro learning. These learning approaches are more applicable for employees who are unable to attend formal training programs due to shift work or other commitments. CPE Points will be awarded to registered pharmacists upon the completion of this course.
