Learning Outcomes

The WSQ Graduate Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (GCWSH) qualification is designed for individuals who are keen to join the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) profession as WSH Auditors. You will acquire skills and knowledge on how to evaluate WSH systems and performance either as a third party consultant to a company or within a company itself._x000D_

The GCWSH is one of the four qualifications under the WSH Professionals Workforce Skills Qualification. It is the only qualification recognised for individuals to register as a WSH Auditor under the Workplace Safety and Health Act._x000D_

Lesson Plan

This course consists of 7 modules:

Manage WSH Audit Programme (WP02-PR-601C-1)
Advise on WSH Legal Requirements and Good Practices (WP02-PR-602C-1)
Apply Risk Assessment Methodologies in WSH Process (WP02-IC-602C-1)
Recommend Continual Improvement to WSH Management System (WP02-IC-601C-1)
Conduct A WSH Culture Assessment (WP02-CA-602C-1)
Conduct WSH Management System Audit (WP02-CA-601C-1)
Apply WSH Operational Excellence (WP02-IC-603E-1)

Students may receive exemptions if they have completed the above modules individually. To receive the respective_x000D_
exemptions, all participants must produce their original WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) / transcript /_x000D_
certificate(s) for verification. No SOA will be issued for modules which participants had received exemption(s).

Certification

You will be assessed via written tests, continuous assessments and project work._x000D_

Participants will be awarded the WSQ Graduate Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health if they meet the 75%_x000D_

attendance rate as well as certified to be competent through all assessments required by the course. Graduates who_x000D_

are registered WSHOs will be eligible to receive 170 SDU points.


Entry Requirements

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

Applicants must meet the entry requirements under one of the following three tracks:_x000D_

Track 1_x000D_

  • A recognised WSH degree qualification (see Note) for WSHO registration with MOM(1); AND
  • _x000D_

  • At least 2 years of post-WSH qualification working experience as a WSH officer or similar occupational_x000D_

Track 2_x000D_

    _x000D_

  • Technology/ Science-related/ Engineering diploma/degree; AND
  • _x000D_

  • WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH qualification (Level C); AND
  • _x000D_

  • At least 2 years of post-WSH qualification working experience as a WSH officer or similar occupational_x000D_
    role

    _x000D_

  • GCE “O” Level English & Mathematics grade B4 or ES Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 7; AND
  • _x000D_

  • WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH qualification (Level C); AND At least 2 years of post-WSH qualification_x000D_
    working experience as a WSH officer or equivalent

Self-sponsored students may use their SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) and/or PSEA to pay for the nett fee._x000D_
Terms & Conditions for Nett Fee:_x000D_
1) Must achieve at least 75% attendance for each module & course overall, and;_x000D_
2) Must pass all required assessments._x000D_
Students who pay the nett fee & fail to meet the terms & conditions will be required to pay the full fee, i.e. must_x000D_
refund the course fee subsidy received*** at the start of the course, to Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
