This microlearning course aims to provide healthcare professionals and caregivers with the fundamental knowledge and skills in dementia care.Â
Learning Outcomes
There is currently approximately 50 million people with dementia, and it is estimated that 5% to 8% of the general population >60 years old have dementia (WHO, 2020). The total number of people with dementia is projected to reach 82 million in 2030 and 152 million in 2050 (WHO, 2020). In Singapore, a study led by Institute of Mental Health (IMH) stated that 1 in 10 people who are 60 years and above may have dementia (Subramaniam, M et al, 2015). Dementia has impacted lives of not just persons with the condition but caregivers. This course aims to provide healthcare professionals and caregivers with the fundamental knowledge and skills in dementia care._x000D_
